Comments Thread For: Malik Scott Believes Heavyweight Division Would Be More Exciting WIth Wilder on Top

The heavyweight division is missing something according to Malik Scott. Sure there's still talent everywhere but something just seems off. Ever since Deontay Wilder lost his WBC title to Tyson Fury, Scott, Wilder's new head trainer, can notice the difference. Gone are the days when the Alabama native would put butts in seats and reward them for their loyalty by sending his opponents to the hospital.

No interim fights for Deontay Wilder while waiting for his money fight.

HW is absolutely dead in America.

It gets tiring knocking out bums. It's entertaining but not challenging and would eventually run its course.

And what's the point of being on top if your gonna be inactive?

This headline takes the prize for the most ridiculous comment in memory — must be a slow news day. I’ll see Scott’s pronouncement and raise him one … I BELIEVE THE HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION WOULD BE MORE EXCITING WITH MIKE TYSON ON TOP.
Deontay Wilder exciting? Tell us Malik, how many PPV buys did Wilder’s last fight against Helenius do?

Maybe if he hadn't spent so much time ducking top competition. I rate his power more than some, but you have to be able to be honest about his flaws, and he could have fought better competition.

Let's be honest, if Wilder was the top dog he'd be rematching Fury a 4th time or fighting Ngannou instead so let's not pretend Wilder on top would make everything all better.

We've seen Wilder "On top" and who he fought during those years. But thanks for todays episode in delusion. Much appreciated.

Oh, and by the way. You don't need a title nor be on top to fight you know. So, why aren't you in the ring with a top fighter?
