Why did Bivol sit the year out?

Call outs don’t count, lmao…
Callouts when your promoter has explicitly said he won't allow the fight are just pro forma BS and don't count. If he actually wanted the fight, he'd tell Bob to make the fight or lose the contract. Even when there weren't excuses about Russia being made, they never sent an offer. Unified with a guy Bivol already beat instead of with Bivol. Come on, now.

Canelo doesn’t need to rematch Bivol or fight Beterbiev. Hestarted at 147, rose to 154, 160, 168 and tried for 175. He lost to Bivol. Bivol was too big. We all saw that. Nobody holds that against Canelo except his critics. But to be honest we all want to see Beterbiev vs Bivol. All of us have seen on the internet what both sides have to say about that fight not being made. Blame Bob, blame him and blame him. I know Bivol can’t beat Beterbiev and most of you do too, but you’ll ride that train like Spence fans did until the train stops. Pacs fans have sided with Bivol. That’s ok. You’ll talk until they get into the ring and you will all be scared as hell like you always are when you know your guy has a real chance of losing, lmao. I’ve seen it in your eyes. Scared, lol. So keep on talking about Beterbiev lol. Keep having fun lmao…. I truly hope that the fight gets made so Beterbiev can wipe his ass with Bivol.Comment

Dude, I'm one of the biggest Beterbiev fans on this site. I've driven to Montreal to watch him fight, and I would have driven to the Browne fight too but it was up in the air if it was going to be cancelled for Covid until the day before. I was just saying that Canelo's fanbase hates Beterbiev. I don't think he's the one avoiding it at all. I want to see Bivol/Beterbiev too. That's probably on my top 3 fights I want to get made. As for Canelo starting at 147, he was 15. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. started at 130 and nobody gives his lazy ass credit. When Kovalev was a sixteen year old amateur, he was a welterweight. It's just misleading/disingenuous to say "he started at 147" When you can turn pro so young in Mexico. Zurdo fought at 160 when he turned pro, and he's a Cruiserweight now. ****ing Munguia fought at 140 when he turned pro, and he's ****ing huge! lolLast edited by _Rexy_; 10-04-2023, 07:27 PM.Comment

judge a man, not by his words but by action. Why has he not sent Bivol a single agreement? he's the B-side. he needs to pursue this fight.
literally fighting callum smith in some barn and joe smith jr at the hulu centre. step up

He's called him out lots. And Bob was on board to make the fight too until Mauricio said he wouldn't sanction it.
By Keith Idec - Based on what Bob Arum has seen from Artur Beterbiev, the destructive Russian’s 91-year-old co-promoter expects him to annihilate Anthony Yarde on Saturday night in London. If the heavily favored Beterbiev beats Yarde, who is the mandatory challenger for his WBO light heavyweight title, Arum
There was also another article after the Zurdo fight where Bob said "The time to make the unification is now" but I can't find that article.Comment

So you’re saying that Beterbiev doesn’t want the fight and that Bivol is now a draw?
