  • Comments Thread For: Francis Ngannou Reacts to Fury-Usyk Announcement: 'I Have Been Underestimated and Doubted Before'

Francis Ngannou clearly didn't get the same script as everyone else. The former UFC heavyweight champion was seemingly befuddled, if not a little chagrined, at the news unveiled on Friday that Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk had signed a contract to face each other for the undisputed heavyweight championship in Saudi Arabia, reportedly on Dec. 23 or in January.

When Dillian Whyte came into boxing from kickboxing/MMA he had 6 amateur fights and 16 pro fights before he fought Joshua and Joshua knocked him out in that fight.

When Jarrell Miller came into boxing from kickboxing he had 11 amateur fights and 19 pro fights before he started fighting guys on the level of Washington or Wach.

Ngannou has 0 amateur fights and 0 pro fights and he's not walking in there against a green Anthony Joshua or Gerald Washington. He's walking in there to fight the reigning lineal heavyweight champion of the world.

Anyone who believes the outcome of this fight is in question is a bigger mark than the people who didn't understand Floyd carried McGregor.

It would be funny if Francis pulls off the upsets and derails the Undisputed HW fight. But as much as I'd like to see Fury get beat for acting liking a diva lately, I know that he needs to win for us fans to have a chance of seeing Usyk/Fury next. Although, I still doubt that Fury wants that fight win or lose against Francis.

Fury could (but won’t) lose to FN and still conceivably beat Usyk. This “fight” has no bearing on undisputed

Francis Ngannou, fair play to fury giving him a pay day, I've enjoyed watching Mike tyson try and train him.

it would be nice to have Furry get some nasty cut(s) and slow his roll ......that is the only interesting thing that might happen in this fight interesting within reason Fury could get knocked out and they would bring smelling salts and call it a foul or something like that it is money is all it is.......

Dear Ngannou, your worthless, circus match with Fury should have never been signed in the first place, and no, you have no chance at winning.

This is just a waste of everyone's time

You can have more belts than a clothing store, but if you ain't the man who beat the man, you ain't no champion in the big boys division. If Ngannou or anyone else beats Fury under the Marquis of Queensbury rules, he's the champion of the world.

The green belt? Gift it to Fres Oquendo or anyone you're looking to publicize.

Only chance Nnagannou has it to grapple and pin Fury in the corner, then wail on him and hope to get lucky.

.......after that he's a dead man walking.
