If Canelo fights Bivol I'll change my name to CaneloIsGreat for a year. Never gonna happen.

Bivol will beat him 7 days a week and twice on Sunday. Why Charlo didn't look at that blueprint and follow it is beyond me.
Because a blueprint is useless if you don't have the skills or style to use it.

Bivol has a very high workrate and masterful judgment of distance with his in and out style, arguably the best distance control in the sport.

His style is all wrong for Canelo who hasn't got the quickest feet and poor stamina when he can't dictate the pace.

Charlo doesn't even have a high work rate at 154, so good luck putting on 14lbs and trying to set a high pace and move in and out of range when it's not something you even do at your usual weight class.

If Charlo tried to follow Bivol's blueprint, he would probably end up falling into shots because he hasn't got that in and out style that Bivol has where he can judge it perfectly. He would possibly gas too by trying to set that kind of work rate when he is usually a low output fighter.

that's why all is blueprint stuff is nonsense, just because someone else can do something it doesn't mean other people can do it if it's not in their toolbox.

Not the same kind of fighter and Charlo doesn`t have Bivol`s skill set and workrate.

It’s hard to understand all of you ham and eggers that never put any effort on your lives other than being a couch potato. Canelo showed he is still in his prime VMC!
And what excuse will you have when Canelo refuses to fight Benavidez?

Because he doesn’t have bivol’s stern warriors mind. Charlo came to not get knocked out. At no time did he try to win. This is why I was so disturbed by his sucking up to Canelo in the build up. Someone who is coming to win doesn’t act like that. Charlo really hurt his brand last night. That performance will never be lived down

When you take on more challenges instead of "not much of a threat" type fights you develop as a fighter in the ring futures and you get a lot of respect from fight fans. His refusal to take chances has caught up with him as much as anything, age but no wars i mean that most would agree is what add's to the aging process in the ring. But double edged sword there with no challenges in the ring you do not develop certain skills or become the fighter that you can or could be...............it is true in most all sports rising to the occasion......everybody remembers the come backs, the getting off the mat, the showing something never seen before in a fight not well he did it again bc his opponents were not of his caliber ........never carried a threat.

Ok then, bring on your 2-year mandatory challenger, David Benavidez! Anyone less is unacceptable.

But if Canelo rematches Bivol is it a cherry-pick gone wrong again?

If he fights Benavidez will you acknowledge that is a tough, competitive opponent?

Let me know now before these things happen. So I can be sure the goalpost doesn’t get moved.
