Solid performance but he essentially just did what he was supposed to do against a naturally smaller guy.
I don’t think Canelo looked that impressive last night.

The guy ain't naturally smaller though. Canelo started his career lower than Charlo and is shorter and has a shorter reach than Charlo. He didn't look amazing but size played no factorComment

Me too
It also seems clear to me his head and upper body movement has declined. Definitely not as agile as he used to be with his upper body.
it looked exactly what it was, one guy used to fighting at 168 against a guy used to fighting at 154 against that guys that size.
That's why even the likes of Canelo, as talented as he is, grew into the higher weights gradually, even inventing Caneloweight between 154 and 160, then fighting at 164 v Chavez etc..
You simply have to get accustomed to fighting bigger men bit by bit.
Canelo did what any good fighter should in that situation.Comment

Canelo was a very young man. At both 33, Canelo can't make 154 and Charlo could. People's bodies change differently over time.
That's all you need to know.
Anybody can gain weight like Charlo did for last night, but the reality of size is in which guy could still fight at 154 out of the two.
Who cares about reach? Some lower weight fighters have a very long reach.
Besides, like I said above, what truly matters is one guy has gotten used to fighting men at 168 and one has no experience near there. It doesn't matter who looks bigger on the eye, you have to build up the experience fighting bigger men, which Canelo has and Charlo hasn't.Comment

Yeah the size difference was evident. Charlo couldn’t make a dent in Canelo who was easily walking him down.

You're talking about boxing terms. IRL, he ain't the smaller guy. He's taller and easily can, and probably does walk around at the same weight as Canelo. Just because he decides to suck down to a weight to have an advantage over everyone doesn't make him smaller IMO
