Only 3 people can beat Canelo

Canelo is fading but he has good ring IQ and has excellent punch selection

    He has perfected his style and perfected his technique since the Callum Smith fight. However we did see glimpses of it in the Kovalev fight too;

    Low output
    Load up on power shots
Select carefully between body and head
    Pressure
    Stay in pocket
    Stay low

This works 90% against the lower A to B level fighters he has faced but against elite champions he would struggle.

Beterbiev - violently gets KOd. That small pumped up body of Canelo wouldn't be able to take the power and that famous chin would be cracked. Avoid avoid avoid.

Bivol - wide UD for Bivol all over again.

Benavidez - closer put Benavidez takes it.

Interested to see how PBC match Canelo.

He's beaten everyone who's been mentioned over years apart from bivoland benevidez, although benavides is a new name

Canelo murders Bumavidez. Slow feet, huge body to work, slow hands, average defense etc.. Also, his arsenal is full of hooks which Canelo likes. Canelo doesn't like straight punches.

I like Canelo's chance against Beterbiev as well. If he boxes safely, he wins. He shouldn't trade with Beterbiev.

Bivol is the only stylistic issue for him between 154 and 175.

I think Canelo beats everyone between 154 and 175 when he is well-trained, motivated and non-injured.

Bivol and Beter don’t count, not in his weight class. Benavidez fight is a toss up, matter of fact, Canelo would be favored on the odds,

Canelo isn't going to change his style now:

Low output, loading up, stalking, walking people down.

He isn't a slickster and he isn't powerful compared to the bigger guys - even though he is committing to loading up power shots only now.

His boxing skills arent on display as they used to be because at the higher weights he has to rely on being powerful just to stay in the game.

His power hasn't travelled up either - ie he isn't hitting harder than he was at 160lbs at maximum velocity despite his higher weight. Infact, he is probably hydrating to the same weights as he was before - 170lbs range - same as he did against Khan, GGG, Chavez Jr etc. He's just stronger due to the training but his punch isn't stronger.

You're right though, if he traded with Beterbiev he is going to sleep.

              I'll add this
If the Canelo-Benavidez or Beterbiev-Bivol fights don't get made then Benavidez should step up to LHW and face Bivol or Beterbiev.

He is already a big SMW and walks around at 200lbs and is not far off Zurdo's size.

Waiting around for a Canelo payday is ****** because Canelo is always the A-side and can freeze you out as well as having the pick of promoters at his doorstep writing blank cheques to sign him up for multifight deals.

Benavidez try and establish himself and carve his own legacy independently of Canelo if he has the will to do so

I agree with the first 2 but DB likes to let his hands go and I think Canelo is at his best when he's catching guys with huge counter shots. I think DB walks right into something big and gets put down. Then, if he gets up, his punch output drops because he won't wanna make the same mistake again. Canelo by UD

I think would outpoint Benavidez but for some reason (up to now) Canelo doesn't really like that fight, so you have to ask why.

He has even been coming up with ridiculous excuses like he doesn't want to fight Mexicans even though half of his record is Mexicans and Benavidez is an American born and half Mexican.

there's absolutely NO reason that fight shouldn't happen in May. Unless Benavidez fought Andrade and lost, that fight is supposed to happen soon.

But as long as Benavidez comes through that, there's no good reason it can't happen in May. I can't see Benavidez not wanting it, we know he does. So it's really on Canelo to take that fight and there's not really a good reason for him not to...

                    - - Beter on the mend may be kaput.

Canelo ain’t fighting Bivol again even at 168 where he gets no credit.

He will fight Bena soon, so U zero for 3!!!
