Charlo didn't put on any muscle to fight Canelo. He just didn't cut the 20 lbs he usually does. He looked soft. No wonder he couldn't take it to the body. He can still make 154.

...and he also didn't let Jermell's inactivity affect his own career. Tszyu fought Harrison, Ocampo and is scheduled to face Mendoza in two weeks. Tszyu circumvented Jermell's bull**** and kept progressing.Comment

True. And add to it that Charlo doesnt have anything to complain about either. He didnt fight his mandatory when he obvoiusly couldve, and took a big money fight instead. I dont know how much he made, but he obviously judged the price to be worth the belts, akong with any miniscule theoretical chance that he could win.
So now he has the money and lived through it. Its what he wanted and what he got. Its a grown up decision.
You cant have everyrhing. But you can say you had all the belts and now are rich.Comment

Tim Tszyu is the man in Australia and has the country all to himself now. Nobody else there means anything to the Aussies. Look for Tszyu to stay quite busy fighting Charlo, Lubin, Mendoza, and Fundora for all the belts, then move up to middleweight in two years.Comment

Fair is fair. He's an email champ, although one key difference is that Loma fought a unification with another champion at that weight, and stayed at that weight. If Mell stays up above 154, and Tim defends his title and unifies I'll consider him champion. I do think it was the appropriate move after Charlo ducked their ordered fight claiming a hurt hand and then went chasing the bag instead of honoring his obligations.Comment

Right now 160 is ripe for the picking, weakest it’s ever been for as long as I’ve been a fan. Problem for him is there are no big money fights there. I don’t see him or his brother competing much longer.Comment
