  • Comments Thread For: Devin Haney Isn't a Fan of Soft Touches: "I Don't Take Tune-ups"

It's common, normal even, for fighters to take a few soft touches in their respective careers. Fighting killers with no breaks in between isn't ordinary. Although it's standard practice, Devin Haney isn't a fan.

          You're joking right?

A guy two weight classes below and a guy who never won a step up fight and never was a champion before?

          This is a terrible joke

Haney isn't a knockout artist, but he is all gut's, and he's going after the glory. I don't like his style of fighting, but he's an exceptional boxer.

Tbf, he's always chased those big fights. Even left his promoter to do it.

Like his style or not, glad to see he just wants big fights.

Unfortunately, I think he may find very few options after Prograis (if he wins). Being undisputed could've been his selling point.

“Few options”! Seriously! There is Tank and Shakur.
Shakur has called him out multiple times.

At 140? If he moves back down, sure, that Undisputed title is huge. At 140lb, with only a single title, there's little really.
