That was nothing more than a glorified sparring session. PPV subscribers got robbed.

More nonsense about Charlo being the smaller guy. It was obvious that Charlo was bigger than Canelo in every category. Those claiming that Charlo is smaller than Canelo are really ignorant. Charlo and Canelo are both natural middleweights. Charlo drains himself to stay at 154lbs because he does not want to compete with his brother at 160lbs. Canelo fights at 168lbs because he has the skill and talent to and he is just that damn good. Canelo is always significantly smaller than his opponents at 168lbs. Just like Paq and Mayweather were able to fight at higher weight classes even though they were always smaller than the fighters of said weight class Canelo is able to do the same.

Even if Canelo fights Benavediz,a fighter who has a thin resume, and when he wins those who called for the fight will automatically start calling it a cherry-pick fight. Benavidez is following the GGG gameplan fight bums so he minimizes the risk of getting beat and then wait until he hopefully lands a payday against Canelo. Everyone must acknowledge Benavidez's record is pretty anemic.

The power level is drastically different at 154 vs 168. You can take two men who both weigh 170, they are the "same size". But the muscle mass and power can be very different. Thus, weight classes. Jermell looks a little fluffy at 170, but when he cuts down to 154, he looks cut and his power at that weight is very good.170 is close to Jermell's walk around weight. He isn't a natural 168 FIGHTER. Fight weight and walk around weight are very different.

Canelo is walking around at this point somewhere around 190-200. Should he fight at Cruiser? No. His "fight weight" limit is likely 175 now. He looked in great shape against Bivol, he looked more muscular in the ring. Canelo has used PED's over the years and added alot of muscle to his frame.

Jermell had zero business fighting at 168. He knew it. He was there for a paycheck. He had no power at the weight and his punch resistance was trash.

Canelo doesn't want to fight the best at his own natural size, this tells us all we need to know. He is declining badly and I expect nothing but these circus fights from here on, he isn't a serious champion anymore.

Canelo is just following the Floyd blueprint of taking the least risk to make the most money, all the while spreading a false narrative that they are the greatest fighters of their generation.

I'm not going to bash Charlo because only these fighters know how it feels to be in that ring. He went up 14 full pounds to challenge the Undisputed Super Middleweight Champion of the World. Canelo is widely recognized as the if not one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world today. Charlo offered no excuses like a true champion but we know what hurdles he jumped to be in the position he was last night. 16 months of inactivity, his first fight after a broken hand, 14 pound weight jump. Charlo dared to be great and came up short. Fans will always be fickle. Had he gone out on his shield and gotten knocked out, fans would have dismissed his efforts entirely. He felt the weight difference in that ring and he fought a smarter fight and didn't risk getting knocked out. Yet even though he went 12 full rounds with the pound for pound, undisputed super middleweight champion, fans will still dismiss his efforts. As for me? I will give Charlo his props. He lives to fight another day. He didn't get knocked out nor sustain any considerable damage. He can recover better than had he gotten knocked out or hurt badly. He tried to be great at another weight class and came up short. That's boxing. Not everyone can achieve these feats that's why they are rare and that's why the fighters that do are truly special.

For those who have an issue of Canelo fighting an opponent that is moving up two weight classes. Keep that same energy for Floyd. Floyd fighting Marquez who was moving up two weight classes too. This match up was worse because not only was Marquez a smaller man he was older too. To top it off Floyd failed to make weight out fear of possibly losing to an older, smaller fighter.

Fannon you must be that biased dip**** with the biased bull**** YouTube channel.

People use the term ducking so free and loose. I think Canelo has taken great fights, gotten a few gifts, but managed to show ATG skills. People wanted this fight, and it was easy money. I doubt many boxing pundits thought Charlo had a chance... People just do not think, not Canelo's fault. Lol... "Canelo is fighting a man with the same reach as Bivol!!!!!" Typical ****** statement that taken out of context becomes a false positive for Charlo... Canelo is usually deficient in reach, it is not important to his style, and how did Bivol's reach cause |Canelo problems?

Charlo would have had to be able to back Canelo up with his power. Canelo knew this lol... It was never going to happen, easy money.... Left Hook Lacy type money that Calzighe could see a mile away...

Canelo rebooted and took a fight people asked for. He has not ducked anyone. He made it look easy because he fought the right fight.
