The whole thing leaves a bad taste.
Showtime for hyping this ****. Charlo for taking a fight he'd spend in survival mode. Canelo for cherrypicking not just non-Mexican opponents but guys jumping weight classes. The announcers and sportswriters for being in on the hustle.
I'll say it again: if it's the sport of kings, how come the ****ing court jesters are in charge?Comment

Benavidez would be walking Canelo down, unlike tonight - he couldn’t possibly bring out the same version. Going toe to toe with David isn’t ending well. The only other option is using lateral movement and fighting on the backfoot.. which we know Canelo doesn’t do well fighting backwards. Stylistically it’s always been a nightmare.. probably why it’ll never happenComment

Cant wait to watch if Benavidez passes on the boo boo test and gets the canelo fight for 5/24. Boy too stationary to deal with them fast power punches but he definitely wont fight scared like charlo did tonite. Expect benny to die on his boots like the 'mexican monster' he claims to be lol.Comment

Canelo took the roaring lions only Charlo, and turned him into a purring only Jermell.
I actually thought that Charlo would make this a competitive fight, I have to admit that I was wrong.
Canelo earned his kudos in this one for emasculating Charlo, by forcing him to give up his ground all fight long.
Now Canelo is walking around Jalisco, Mejico sporting the lions mane which he clipped off of Jermells' head (figuratively specking)!Comment

I thought Charlo would have done a little better than he did but would end up getting KO'd. Every time Charlo had a brief spell of success, Canelo would come right back and steal it away. It was like a parent quickly smacking their child and putting them back in their place. I kind of expected Jermell to go out on his shield after getting thoroughly outboxed and whooped for a few rounds but he seemed to be gun-shy and it appeared like he was just trying to avoid getting KO'd. I guess that's as good of a plan as he could make. The fight was a shutout and complete domination. Now Jermell should fight Tim Zyu, if he still wants to remain at the top of the JM division.Comment

Charlo looked slow with the extra weight. Canelo was walking right thru his punches. The Ramos fight, no matter who you had winning, was boring as hell. They both should be docked 50% of their earnings to pay for a large party for those fans. Ugas was the walking piņata I thought he’d be while Barrios fights scared and should count his blessings, cashing in fighting an inferior Ugas. Geez, I can’t remember anyone in boxing that sticks his head out so far with a sign on it that says, “hit me” like Ugas. Lastly, love him or hate him - - Canelo sure drives the interest and viewing. Just look at the number of responses on this thread!Comment
