Yeah I've never really been sold on Benavidez. I don't think he actually has a lot for Canelo but the one thing is that he won't fight scared and will try to put it on Canelo.

I still hope we see the fight but I see a pretty wide points win for Canelo.

then again up to this point, Canelo hasn't really shown he really wants that fight. hopefully he does but so far it's something he's tried to dismiss. Even going as far as making ****** excuses that he doesn't wont fight Mexicans even though half of his record is Mexicans and Benavidez is American born half mexican. But that was Canelo's response. So even though I think he would win, he doesn't actually seem overly confident by his words and actions up to now.

there is nothing at all stopping that fight happening next and you know Benavidez would take it in a heartbeat , so let's see if Canelo does

He may not KO him. He would just beat Canelo up really bad, and Canelo knows it well. Obviously.

And let's be fair. Plant was out on his feet and the fight could have been stopped due to excessive holding by Plant. Plant survived, but he was out on his feet.

Canelo just beat up a guy who was there for the check, to throw enough punches to seem like he wanted to win, and who had no business in the ring with a 168 pounder. This fight literally has no bearing on a Benavidez fight. Benavidez will bust Canelo up. Like I said, Canelo obviously knows this.

He's the exact same Canelo that's been showing up, Charlo just put up little to no resistance, he's looked this slow ponderous plodder who constantly loads up since the Kovalev fight.

And yes of course he'll beat benavidez because he's a creme puff and likes to be in Canelos prefered range.

He's not a boxer with a ram rod jab who's got power and a solid chin like GGG and he's certainly not got the outside boxing acumen of a Bivol or Mayweather, he'll get chewed up and spat out by any version of Canelo.
