Canelo could've gotten the stoppage if he had better punch selection. He was heavily reliant on the right hook all night long, even when the straight right would've been a better choice. It almost felt like Jermell got carried due to Canelo dumbing down his offense.

Charlo dared nothing and was anything but great. Pathetic and meaningless fight.

and that's why fighters move gradually through weight classes. even Canelo built himself up from 154 slowly because it's the smart thing to do. you have to get used to fighting bigger men gradually, it doesn't matter how big somebody looks on the eye when one is so much more used to fight at the higher weight against fighters that size.

I'm sure Canelo is the better fighter regardless in this one but the point is still valid
