  • Comments Thread For: Derrick James: Most People On The P4P List Haven't Done Half The Stuff Jermell Has Done

Derrick James has been perplexed whenever he has looked at pound-for-pound lists that omit Jermell Charlo. James notices names on such lists that he believes haven't accomplished as much as the undisputed junior middleweight champion he has long trained. Charlo, 33, is one of only nine male fighters to become an undisputed champion during boxing's four-belt era and he has atoned for the close loss and the draw on his record by knocking out Tony Harrison and Brian Castano in their respective rematches.

Every time Derrick James bitches about the P4P list, his fighter gets destroyed…

Most people on the P4P didn’t lose to Tony Harrison and get a gift against Castano either

Did his fighters even win 2 rds in both fights combined? James not that good at scouting. Poor job give useful instructions between Rds more a cheerleader. Charlo looked bad slow as **** Canelo beats you to the punch over and over it's just so bad

That true but in all fairness he got robbed against Harrison. Same way Ramos got robbed last night against Lubin. Only difference is Charlo has something to say about it and dint agree. Ramos dint protest one bit even said Lubin had a good game plan. Regardless he dint have any game plain and couldn't land anything. James can't scout a opponent. He had no clear instructions for Charlo nothing. I was surprised. Canelo was getting very good clear instructions. James litterly seemed nothing more then a cheerleader. Martin lost last time out as well regardless of gift decision. Then pulled most coward move ever and avoided Stevenson for championship. Hell lose again soon so James is 0-3 Joshua will lose Ryan too so there ya go not but nothing is going well for James anymore

Quality of opponents is more important than belt collection. I'm actually sick of hearing about the "four belt era", is it supposed to be a good thing that the WBOgus became recognised and so-called "undisputed" champions are expected to hand over another fee to another corrupt sanctioning body?

It's funny. I remember going on James website a while back to see his stable, and thought it was weird that he refers to himself as "Boxing Coach" and not a trainer. You may have just hammered the nail on the head.

I'd love to go back to two belts, but to be honest I'd go with IBF and WBO. The WBC and WBA are way too far gone as far as corruption goes.

Its over, it's not gonna be a two belt system like the old days. Between the alphabet body's and PBC there hardly anything good going on. Look at the weekends card The main event was terrible garbage. The Co main more garbage with corrupt Judging on top of it. Wbc giving Haney a duck pass against Stevenson Until he stopped negotiating with Regis. Then finally took the belt away from Haney. Nobody needs the ABC orgs except there hangers oners trash. Old trash. They'll creat a UFC type operation and cancel the corrupt inept ABC orgs one of these days. Then they'll become the corrupt ones, probably hiring the former ABC guys to to join them. Somebody sure made some money on that Ramos fight coming back @$320. The fact Ramos dummied up and actually said Lubin was good he had a good game plan. He landed 17%!!! Hello PBC = Please More Boxing Corruption
