That would be Shakur and Bivol. These days Canelo doesn't even make top 10 defensively, in terms of either fewest punches landed by opponents or plus minus punch differential.

2005? he didnt fight anyone good till 2013 but ok. he waited years for ggg and even created his own fake division to pretend like he wasnt in gggs division. bivol and kovalev were not the top dogs, beterbiev was and he would have slaughtered canelo but canelo said he was too small for beterviev? same thing he said to avoid ggg even though he was fighting at super middle against chavez jr lol. now hes avoiding benavidez who is the top dog, callum smith was not, he was coming off a loss that everyone saw. he was just gifted that win. hes fought good fighters for sure but he only fights the good fighters he thinks he can beat/rob. others he simply doesnt fight or waits till they age. for example if baldomir was the top guy that fight would be made in a second, ggg, beterbiev, benavidez hmmm gotta think about those for years and years. thats not how boxing should work.

If you talk about Alvarez's defensive prowess, that should worry Charlo's fans in Saturday's fight. They're picturing a Charlo peppering the Mexican superstar with huge blows. But if that's not happening, what else would happen in Charlo's favor?

Canelo should have never fought above 160. That’s his natural weight class. He gave us fights above where he didn’t belong. Consider that a gift cause there were no more 160 fighters to fight.
Don’t know why you’re sniveling about GGG. He fought him 3 times. He should have NEVER fought Bivol or Kovalev.
HE SHOULD FIGHT BENIVIDAS. I believe that’s why he is with PBC. He will fight him next year. It’s a 50/50 fight to me. If he was 5 years younger he would WHIP Benividas. I still wouldn’t be surprised if HE MADE BENIVIDAS QUIT.

well with his ped use and the fact that he was massively draining himself in the lower weights i dont think you can say 160 is his natural weigth class. also if that were true why didnt he stay at 160? much better fights at 160 then a dead division like 168. was he "chasing greatness" by beating bums like callum smith and bloated saunders? he had guys like charlo and andrade at 160 but he preferred randoms

we all know he was at 168 to avoid that third ggg fight until ggg aged out, and he couldnt fight at 175 again cause beterbiev would kill him. thats why he stuck himself in the worst division in boxing.

First and foremost, GGG WON THE FIRST FIGHT. He LOST the last 2. Second fight Canelo edged him. It was a competitive fight. Let’s move simpleton. I enjoyed watching the first two fights. The last fight I felt sorry for GGG.

                    Bivol my personal favorite today

lack of opponents we won't find out how good he truly is
