Indeed he did...and I'm getting sick and tired of having to educate morons about this fact. I'm not even a May fan, but he damn sure earned my respect that night. Masterpiece and masterclass. Was in pocket PLENTY and against ropes and Canelo couldn't do S***. Utter domination.

Not really. Just the other day he said anyone that fights like Bivol will trouble Canelo and if Charlo knows how to control the distance, combine footwork with the jab and combinations, then it's a perfect combination to beat Canelo. If being a key word.

Obviously, if Charlo fights like Bivol, he will have a great chance to beat Canelo. I don't think many would disagree, though it is subject to that if. And the if seems unlikely.

ODLH's comments here pretty much are still in line with this. He picks Canelo, but says "It's not going to be easy" and adds that maybe Charlo will give him trouble through his elusiveness and knowing how to use his feet. But ultimately the weight jump will catch up with him.

I think it's some of the most sensible stuff ODLH has said in a while.

Charlo doesn't fight anything like Mayweather and he isn't about to start changing his whole style when he has had so much success being a boxer-counter puncher. In most fights Charlo takes more punches than Floyd did - that will likely be his undoing here

He needs conditioning that he has never had before to pull that off, its possible but Canelos brings pressure with power that Charlo hasn't been hit with, but that's why they fighting to see what happens.

Charlo needs Bivol’s size and defense to have the success he had. DLH is completely forgetting the size difference between Bivol and Charlo. It’s not about height, it’s that Bivol is naturally bigger. Like he couldn’t ever fight at 154 as a pro.

Styles makes fights but there’s a point where size trumps styles.

With that said, I made a thread very recently saying Canelo is an old 33 and Charlo has a good chance at winning just because of age and how much Canelo has lost.

from the photo in the article u can clearly see that charlos hand looks bigger than canelos hand, therefore its safe to assume his arm may also be bigger than canelos arm so he himself is actually a bigger guy than canelo in all likelyhood, mexican puppet is actually right in his assessment based on this photo
