Anyways, I think Jermain gets knocked out honestly. He should be training his chin.

yeah, I agree, Jermain is shot already. He hasnt been the same since he got KO by Pavlik, plus he got KOed by Froch the ******, that tells a lot......

That's not a hometown decision, it's just pure incompetence, and is as likely to happen in favour of either fighter. And a very high proportion of the worst cards happen in the US.

seems like a good idea jermain
not sure if he will win this, fighting a guy who gets stronger as the fight goes on could be disasturous for JT,like it has in the past

Give just ONE example of a robbery in a fight in Germany that did not have any German officials - which this fight will not have. Just one example. Or if you can't, then STFU with making baseless excuses.

The more I think about this fight, the more I think Jermaine Taylor is going to win. People say that Abraham is a difficult guy to hurt, but the only puncher on his resume is Miranda. And his broken jaw came more from a head butt. Taylor just needs to outwork him, not gas out, and hope that the judges are kind to him like they have been in some of his fights.

But having said that, 5'10" is not particularly short for a Super Middleweight really. It's the same height as Tyson! And Dwight Muhammad Qawi was an ATG Light Heavyweight, and he was only 5′ 5½! Abraham's a little shorter than the average for his weight class, but not by enough that it's likely to be a factor.

While I think you are making a great point here (NSB in general takes height way too seriously) I think the difference is a guy like Qawi had a beatiful style that complemented his physical build perfectly. The same goes for Tyson obviously.

AA on the other hand does not bend down, does not move side to side, does not move his head nor his upper body. He stands upright, with gloves up.

This will allow Taylor to fight at his own pace, pick his punches and not have to worry about very many swings and misses. If he throws a punch that only hits gloves its much better long run for his conditioning than wild swings and misses at the air.

The main thing to focus on for this fight is Taylor's jab. Say what you want about the rest of his game but his jab is fast and powerful. It will be very important because AA does not let his hands go if the other guy is punching. If Taylor can simply keep his jab pumping it will bank rounds and keep AA from throwing anything back.

Good analysis, but when has Taylor ever had a really high workrate? I'm not convinced he can keep busy enough to keep Abraham off him.

I don't think he has to keep a high work rate per se.

He just needs to keep his left hand busy. I think this is a fight where he should throw at least 40 jabs and no more than 8-10 right hands per round. When he isn't punching he should be able to maintain distance with movement and a jab here or there.

Throwing a ****load of jabs won't wear him out nearly as much as all the right hands he missed against Froch. If he is smart and disciplined he should be able to throw more punches and expend less energy than in previous fights.

Good post, I agree. We all know Jermain is going to establish an early lead, and Abraham takes a good long time to get going. The thing is, Abraham isnt anything like Pavlik and Froch, and I dont see him putting on the pressure that will get him a late finish. I think Taylor can bounce back nicely with this fight.
His back is obviously up against the wall, and a loss here could be the end of him. I think he knows that, and I think we may see the best Taylor we have seen in a while.
