He just needs to keep his left hand busy. I think this is a fight where he should throw at least 40 jabs and no more than 8-10 right hands per round. When he isn't punching he should be able to maintain distance with movement and a jab here or there.
Throwing a ****load of jabs won't wear him out nearly as much as all the right hands he missed against Froch. If he is smart and disciplined he should be able to throw more punches and expend less energy than in previous fights.
He should throw a few solid combinations to steal the rounds and use the remaining time to jab him from the outside. In shouldn't be that hard considering Abraham doesn't pressure.

this should be a good fight..taylor's boxing ability and height should make it interesting..if JT can maintain a good jab and dictate the pace, then he should win..we'll see if taylor can stay fresh enough to not gas out and get flopped in the later rounds..

Sure it probably happens more often than has been proved, but to pretend it explains every case of bad judging, or to pretend that you know when it did happen and when it was just a case of incompetence, is ridiculous. That type of extreme cynicism is just as naive as a total lack of cynicism. Both extremes are naive. The world is not black and white. ****-up is far more common than conspiracy.
In any case, if the judges were being bribed in this fight, then given Taylor's US following, they would be just as likely to be bribed in Taylor's favour as in Abraham's favour. So I still say that the people claiming that Taylor can't win unless he gets a KO are using a lame crybaby excuse.Last edited by Dave Rado; 10-06-2009, 01:15 PM.

If Taylor can focus on boxing, he can get a UD, BUT Taylor likes to apply his offense when he gets going. He's not going to fight for points. He'll take the fight to Abraham and that's exactly what Abraham will be waiting for. i just can't see Taylor avoiding a counter from AA in the middle to late rounds. Plus, i think Abraham will bring the power up to SMW. that being said,
Abraham by knockout.
