Not much buzz for a Canelo fight yet again.

Can’t remember the last Canelo fight that people were excited about tbh, maybe Plant?

What do you expect? You need two PPV guys or title unification fight to make hype.

Only Crawford and Benavidez can create buzz with Canelo. Jermell, Jermall, Andrade will never be fan-friendly fighters.

I still think this fight will slightly surpass Plant fight in PPV tho.

Canelo is in a division with little talent and is not selecting the best opponents from that division.

Also, he doesn’t have the same reputation among all fans given his shutout losses to Floyd and Bivol.

He can always pack in Mexican fans so he will continue to make bank.

I just don’t think the same amount of fans care about him that used to.

I was super excited about Bivol fight. Charlo fight is ok, but just that.

Hard to get excited about an opponent who's been out for two years. Ring rust is real

One guy is moving up 2 weight classes, and was basically a replacement for his brother. Hard to get excited

He also doesn't have the HBO Machine behind him either. I didn't even bother to watch the Ryder fight, but the fact that they couldn't even sell that fight in the UK is telling.

Canelo just doesn't move the needle the way his fans think he does

How long have PPV been $85 and is that standard price now? Good god. I didn’t even know this fight was happening until last week when a friend asked if I would host the fight for his birthday. It probably would have had more buzz a few years ago
