Not much buzz for a Canelo fight yet again.

I was excited for Bivol because I thought Bivol would win. It's hard to get excited for a fight that you know is going to end one way.

Out of his last 15 fights, I've only really been interested in the first two Golovkin fights, Plant and Bivol.

I'm sick of main events with a +450 favorite.

He cherry picked Ryder in his last fight and started losing the late rounds to a 40 year old GGG who he squeaked past in 2022. I have to imagine he's having difficult getting motivated for big challenges at this point. He's made a fortune in the ring and there aren't very many compelling opponents fans want to see him fight outside of Benavidez and maybe Crawford. No one cares about either of the Charlos.

They picked an opponent that was not even on the radar or was in a collision course against him. They are dragging him tow weight classes up and they are trying to sell it as undisputed against undisputed. If they were closer to weight it would had been a better sell.

Nothing should motivate him more than getting revenge against Bivol.

Instead, he decided getting revenge on a 40 year old inactive fighter one weight class below him was more important.

Yep, he only offered Bivol the same $5 million he got for the first fight, which is B.S. And, he refused to defend his titles at 168, only wanted the fight at 175.

I think it was only $3 million, actually

                Not surprised.

Two weight classes smaller than him.

Not much buzz around boxing full stop. Look what it's doing to itself. Apparently Beterbiev - Bivol fell out of bed due to money, so instead they've each sat the year out. Awesome!

I don't need to get into Luke's antics.

Lots of novelty fights and hasbeens positioning themselves for a payday. "Four belt era" champions fighting less than once a year. Yeah, this is a brilliant way to grow a sport.
