what an absolute joke. punches that hit his gloves and shoulders maybe but clean scoring punches to the face and body no and not by a long shot.

once again instead of accusing me of being a "fan" i implore you to get a high quality HD version of the fight if you wanna argue about who was landing and slow down some of calzaghe's "landed punches"

or you can be another unintelligent boxing fan saying things like flurried on. would you like our sport to dissolve into girly slap fights instead of an actual art of hit and not be hit?

I am not saying he landed hard punches, I am actually sure he didn't hurt B-hop at all and B-hop wasn't marked up at the end but all you have to do is touch an opponent's head or body to land scoring points. I like ko shots as much as anyone but I had to be as objective as I could when scoring, and that is honestly what I saw. No hate or nutthugging on either fighter, and the video is actually pretty HQ for a youtube video.

What got me was people who actually went to the fight live at the MGM and them telling me adamantly that Calzaghe won it.
From watching the fight again one thing is clear, the camera angles and bull**** switching of shots weren't good in this fight.
i.e the clean straight left of Calzaghe at 2.17-16 in Round 6 in the video above, first time I've seen it. Hopkins got pissed with the punch and goes in with his head after as a cheap shot.
As much as it pains me to say it there are a lot of clean punches by Calzaghe but it would take a while going through this **** boring fight in slow motion.

If you mean by landing less punches per rounds and using your head as a weapon and your fists as clinching powers, then yes Bhop won like that... How does someone win a fight if they aren't landing the majority of the punches per rounds, I guess Bhop won since he landed the least per rounds.
