Zhang would TORTURE Wilder

Neither is Wilder. He has basically relied on opponents being intimidated by his power for distance control. Zhang doesn't have the feint game and foot speed of Fury, but he does step in with his backhand quickly, without any tells. And with that southpaw stance, he would be coming at Wilder from angles Deontay isn't used to dealing with. And yes, I know Ortiz is a southpaw, but Ortiz doesn't know how to close distance with his punches. He relies on catching opponents coming in to him.Wilder fights about a metre away from the range that Zhang needs to be.
That's why he gets outboxed with jabs but very rarely hit with a back hand.
Would be an interesting fight to see if Zhang could close the distance. His movement was pretty good and smart with Joyce, but Joyce isn't exactly known for his movement.
But again, it's probably just a fantasy fight. Hardly anyone actually fights.Comment

I rate Wilder extremely highly, but? He has been ****** out by Tyson Fury, who historically at no in his career has been a power puncher 'Fury's power is one of his worst attributes considering that he is a super Heavyweight'.
It took awhile for Fury in the 3rd fight to deck Wilder, and keep him down 'But he done it. And I do think the knock-out was also down to fatigue for Wilder, still? Fury is not a monster puncher. Fury struggled to decked and legitimately stop a semi retired Derek Chisora'.
Wilder has never actually faced a power puncher, and beaten them 'Wilder has fought solid punchers, but nobody on the level of Zhang or Joshua'.
But yes mate, it is a 50/50 fight 'Maybe you could just about give the edge to Wilder, 55-45' etc.Last edited by PRINCEKOOL; 09-25-2023, 10:26 AM.Comment

Wilder sucks and all, but he'd body Zhang. Wilder is an inch taller with a 5 inch reach advantage. Add to the fact that a straight right is the best punch to land on a southpaw, and Deontay is faster.
Zhang is giving up 5 inches in reach against a guy who's best weapon is a tool best suited for a southpaw style. I'm taking my chances on the faster, taller guy who will probably land firstComment
