You sure? If that’s the case all the young boxers wouldn’t be trying to emulate Floyd. Manny was a great.. but doesn’t have the same influence Floyd has. Then again.. he probably does among upcoming boxers from Asia, just not the U.S or Europe.

Also to add, if any up and coming fighter had a choice to have either Pac or Floyd’s abilities in the ring they’d choose Floyd without a doubt. Pac took too much punishment and didn’t get paid enough for it, hence all the financial issues in the past and the problems with not being paid by Top Rank.

Its a winning style that needs to be abolished for the sake of the sport. Ufc had this problem with leg humping wrestlers who dominated by holding someone down for a whole fight. There were people saying casuals dont understand, this is how you win a fight. Just like now. In boxing you hear, its about hitting and not getting hit. In basketball they had to put in a shot clock to prevent a team with the lead from just keeping possesion for 10 minutes. It was a winning strategy however. In hockey they had to eliminate the blue line trap that stopped offensive rushes. It was also a winning strategy. But nobody wants to see it. It's boring as fk.
