Comments Thread For: Richardson Hitchins Boxes Past Jose Zepeda For Dominant Decision Win

ORLANDO - Richardson Hitchins maintained his perfect pro record versus his most experienced foe to date. The 2016 Olympian for Haiti and current rising junior welterweight contender boxed his way to a comfortable, if dull, unanimous decision over former three-time title challenger Jose 'Chon' Zepeda. Scores were 120-108, 120-108 and 119-109 for Hitchins in their DAZN-aired main event Saturday from Caribe Royale Orlando in Orlando, Florida.

Richardson Hitchins' clash with Jose Zepeda is part of a Matchroom card in Orlando, with co-main action in the form of the return of British star Conor Benn (21-0, 14 KOs) who faces Mexican Super-Welterweight Rodolfo ‘Sinaloita’ Orozco (32-3-3, 24 KOs). (photos by Ed Mulholand)

Jessica McCaskill (12-3 5 KOs) and Sandy Ryan (6-1 2 KOs) clashing in a unification battle for the WBA, WBC, WBO, IBO and Ring Magazine Welterweight titles and Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams (14-0 10 KOs) press his claims for World title action at Middleweight as he tackles Steve Rolls (22-2 12 KOs).

Should be a solid card & Grisham is in the UK for the YouTubers which is always a plus.

Haven't seen this Zepeda for a long time, but I liked him when I saw him. Is Hitchins really ready for this?

Early stoppage imo, but ref steps in and Velasquez gets the 8th round stoppage

I still think Zepeda left a bit of himself in the ring against Baranchyk, and now with Prograis too. Hitchins might be getting Jose at the right time.
