For Shakur, I'm just going to continue to repeat the same thing I've been repeating dumbly for the last few Shakur topics: Shakur needs to suck up the pride just for once, accept a 25% ****ty pay offer and defeat Haney (which he is definitely capable of) to take all the belts and become the undisputed champion, then do his trash talk for great publicity and great villain status.
No matter how good Shakur is, and certainly no matter how much Shakur THINKS he deserves the fame and money, the fact right now is that he is a young and talented but beltless relatively unknown (to the public) boxer that doesn't generate much interest for most people. Tank is also beltless, but due to his sheer casual popularity he can still generate money even while beltless. Shakur cannot (at least, not yet) because he doesn't have Tank's casual appeal profile, but the title of "undisputed light weight champ" will make him the great target No one knows of former two division champion Shakur Stevenson outside hard core boxing fans, but even the casuals understands the simple explanation of "the dude who is the champion therefore he must be strongest guy i(in the simple mind of casuals)". Therefore no title Shakur calling out others for ducking makes a casual fan think a beltless chump talking BS. Long story short I want a Shakur vs Haney fight so that it can make the "evil undisputed champion Shakur Stevenson vs casual fan's superstar hero Tank.Davis" happen.Comment
