That's the thing people forget or might just not remember Munguia is an ex-champ he held the WBO super welter and defended that belt, but he has not challenged for any major title in probably 5 years and people forget he even became one. He is young, but needs to step it up.

Good fight for both. I kind of hoped Jaime would stay at 160 because there’s an absolute dearth of marketable MWs at the minute but Ryder is a good fight next. Wouldn’t be opposed to him derailing Berlanga for good either.

If Ryder's wear doesn't show up I favor him in this fight. In the Canelo beating he was still trying.

it is hard to trust much less believe a liar ...........talking Oscar here is not he the guy who said he was in training to take a return to the ring fight a few years ago where did that go, nobody wanted to see it and he could not keep straight to accomplish it anyhow. Or how about those lies all those years about his mama and all that drama or his night time attire ? i mean i used to watch him fight, but he is not a very trustworthy guy when to talks .......if past is any indicator of the future. Mung bean has got to step it up and take real challenges many would fight him but he has got a promoter who over protects and is not all that good at selling fights or making real meaningful fights for this kid. The record has been built up the time to fight is now...........Time waits for no one it it wont wait for him..................great song great lyrics but the promoter he is not much anymore and his fighters are falling off the radar with his talk of nothing real............

A match between Jaime Munguia and John Ryder has captured the fancy of promoter Oscar De La Hoya. The founder of Golden Boy, Munguia's promoter, recently raved about a possible match-up between the Mexican super middleweight contender and London's Ryder.
