Comments Thread For: Luis Alberto Lopez Wants Robeisy Ramirez, Naoya Inoue; Stresses 'It's Time To Pay Me More'

Luis Alberto Lopez wants the thickest smoke he can get in the featherweight division. The proud Mexican veteran also wants what he considers appropriate purses for fights against fellow featherweight champions Robeisy Ramirez and Leigh Wood or Japanese superstar Naoya Inoue. Ramirez, the WBO 126-pound champ,

If Lopez truly wants the Inoue matchup, then he should unify with Ramirez because a unified champion would be more appealing to Inoue. Furthermore, there's four champions at featherweight so Inoue could pick, which ever one.

Those who are silent get the fights they desire. Those who are loud, fight no name they scream.

Inoue will likely go up to feather weight in 2025, so those who want the big purse there has a simple goal: have belt(s) on them come beginning of 2025. A faster and bigger purse chance if unified at this point.

Tapales and Butler are/were able to get the big bucks not because they were the best of the weight, it is because they had the belts when Inoue was on his belt chase mode. Tapales didn't fight anyone after defeating MJ and was willing to wait until December to jump into a fight with Inoue immediately because he wasn't going to risk any chance of losing the belts prior to the Inoue cash cow bout.

It’s a process, I understand you got a newborn but you just became Champion last year at weight class that only get big paydays when stars like Prince Naseem are active

The Ramirez fight should be easy to make. Bob wants to have a unified champ to face Inoue next, and they're both on Top Rank. Since he's fought Warrington already, the winner of Wood/Warrington shouldn't be hard either.

But it sounds like he's going to start throwing money demands in.
