I do think he's going for the money in boxing, but I also think he's in a spot few are in to be able to do it like he is now with this Ngannou fight. So its not like every boxer is turning down novelty fights for 8 digits putting boxing first. Most ppl don't get offered these types of opportunities, but would take them if they did get offered them.
Fury has abandoned meaningful fights against Usyk, Joshua and others to pursue what amount to mostly non-dangerous (for him) exhibitions against non-boxers. He has said publicly that he's done with boxing and is now focused on whatever makes him a lot of money. My opinion is that the wants to make money and do it in a way that he is far less likely to incur physical damage. In any event I agree with what Carl Froch says, which is that Fury will never be in the Boxing HOF due to tarnishing his legacy by abandoning his championship and avoiding the two fights fans want to see. These would be against Usyk and Joshua. Other than wins against an aged Klitschko and Wilder, his resume is not that outstanding.

Who is he fighting in all these exhibitions against he's gonna have? He's not even had 1 yet. And idk that there are a ton of them for him or anyone else. These aren't things easily lined up at the 8 digit $$$ level. Even Floyd who HAS done an exhibition career basically has only had 7 of them in 5yrs & lets not act like he's killing it with them like Tyson would wanna be killing it with them if he's trying to max out his $$$. The biggest money after this Ngannou fight will be vs Usyk.

Tyson says something different every other day. I got no idea why ppl take his word as meaning much esp when he says stuff like he's done with boxing when he's retired 2 or 3x already. SRL made retiring & coming back cool & now everyone does it it seems like.

I didn't catch the HOF line, but thats hilarious. Tyson will 100% be in the HOF. Sh^t man there guys who admitted to throwing fights/being in fixed fights in the HOF. There are PED users in the HOF. There are all kinds of guys who've had novelty fights in the HOF.

Fury does say a lot of things, like movies being in his future. As regard the Boxing HOF, Froch says Fury won't be due to the reasons I mentioned, and the disrespect he is now showing boxing. Maybe you are right and maybe Carl Froch is right, only time will tell.

I half expect Ngannou to land a fake knockout punch that leads to a Fury - Ngannou trilogy.

These are exhibitions, so it's not on Fury's record. He fought Braun Strowman in WWE, so it's not hard to imagine him pretending to get KO'd.

Froch is trying to get attention with this statement as much as Tyson tries to get attention. I'd bet he doesn't even reallllllllly believe it.

Tyson, Usyk, Wilder are all in the HOF. HW is a division that gives extra credit to guys when it comes to the HOF. Ken Norton is in the HOF ffs. Respect to Ken he was a bad mfer, but his HOF pass was one W over Ali. Take that W away & there isn't no way Ken would be in the HOF. If that got Ken in then Tyson's W over Wlad should be enough to get him in at the bare minimum.

Is there any title belt rules for exhibitions anyone is hip to?

Ik at one point if you lost a non title fight as a belt holder you'd be stripped of your belt. But idk if an exhibition is the same with that & I'd assume it isn't.
