I'm looking at his level of opposition. When supposed elite prospects are still fighting roadkill this deep into their career, it raises eyebrows and looks just like Floyd's guidance of Tank's career. 27 years old, 29 fights and fighting a can like Gesta smells a lot like Jaime Munguia to me.Comment

I mean I get this in some cases, but idk about it here. He's in title contention with GBP. He's fighting all the GBP guys, but GBP ain't letting guys go easy to other platforms & he's one of these guys who is a lot of risk & lil reward so you are gonna have trouble getting him opps at this level not unlike a guy like Boots is dealing with now & others have dealt with in the past. He's not gonna get a big fight til its some elimination or mando situation fight imo. And idk that that gots anything to do with him outside of how good he is that no one wants to fight a guy no one knows who can actually fight.
How sharp is a knife if all it cuts is butter?Comment

I see your point, but beating up Mercito Gesta is like dating Vanessa Williams in 2023. The bloom is off the rose and has been for awhile now. Until Zepeda is in the ring with a live wire, no one knows how good he actually is.

I don't think you should be hyped about him beating Gesta per se. He did what an A level guy on the way up is supposed to do on an A level night to Gesta. But imagine this guy in with Tank, Shakur or Devin & tell me his style doesn't ask them some questions they haven't been asked yet & how other top guys under those 3 that he's a peer of rn are seeing him & deciding the business move is to wait til you gotta fight this guy lol. If you wanna max out your own upside at this level you don't wanna fight Zepeda til its for a belt if you are smart/got a manager or promoter thats looking out for you.Comment

And yea Tank will lose rds til he lands his kill shot in theory in every fight but eventually he won't land it or someone will be able to take it. Zepeda might be that guy.
Look I ain't saying this guy is the second coming of anyone, but he's for sure the most interesting & compelling fight for any of the tip top guys that isn't another tip top guy is all I'm saying. Pitbull & Frank are overrated af & have looked basic & very beatable vs guys on Gesta or a lower level. Loma is old af & not who he used to be. George is a worker with volume & will surprise some ppl, but many felt he got a bad dec last time out. Zepeda is the best guy on the way to a belt by a mile as I see it. I mean of the guys on the verge of fighting for a belt as the talent pool at 135 is vast with guys in their first yr or three rn who aren't on the verge of a title fight.Comment
