Having said that, Pacquiao’s career accomplishments are definitely superior based on FACTS e.g. more divisional titles, more lineal titles, 4 decade champion, going from 112lbs > 154 lbs vs. 130lbs > 154lbs for Mayweather whereas saying Floyd ‘is the best of his generation’ is just an OPINION.
Really tired of the "boxer/fighter" these are just different styles of...boxing. Sure an out-fighter relies on more fundamental boxing skills but at the end of the day, those same fundamentals are used by pressure, boxer-punchers, sluggers just adjusted for their style and natural talents. The best boxer is quite simply, whomever is the most effective at using their skills and talent, no matter the style and you measure effectiveness through resume and achievements.

Head to head, Floyd is the better boxer, its just like Hearns/Floyd dream fight..He's too damn good to give up a couple weight classes worth of size advantages. Foyd himself said hes bigger and stronger than Pacquiao. But Pac definitely achieved more and nobody is going to be asking "how great he could have been"

        Nice article, didn’t read it.

Pacquiao never reached Mayweathers heights, but he got pretty close.

Manny is officially 2-1-1 against Marquez (which should actually be 3-1 if the judge had awarded a 10-6 round in the first fight). Also, he fought his rival four times so is bound to lose one just like SRR-LaMotta or Ali-Frazier.

Also, losing a close fight to Floyd (116-112 on 2 scorecards) as a 36yo after being knocked out means NOTHING especially since he’s a much smaller man who began his career 18lbs lower.

However, winning 8 divisional titles, 5 lineal titles and becoming a 4 decade champion PROVE he’s the best which are feats that nobody else in the history of the sport has accomplished.

Marquez’s knock out of Manny is highly dubious because he failed to seriously hurt or drop him in the first 3 fights but floored him TWICE in the 4th fight with ease. Also, Pacquiao faced several big punchers straight after e.g. Rios, Matthysse + Thurman but wasn’t troubled once which makes it even more su****ious.

Regardless, he’s accomplished feats that NOBODY else has in the history of the sport which makes him the best of his era. Especially since he started off his career in a much lower weight class and is a few inches shorter than Floyd.

It's just sad how Pacquiao fans continue to lie about about him being an "8 division champion". Say it with me: PACQUIAO HAS NEVER HELD ALPHABET TITLES AT 126 OR 140. Even calling Pacquiao a 6 division champion is a joke considering he was too much of a coward to fight at 154 without imposing significant catchweights on his opponents

                      farcical 8th weight class title

                      vacant belt at a catchweight

manny stacked the deck in his favor but paid with the end of his prime that night

margarito left hook to the liver from hell ended manny’s prime in one shot
