If we're talking just straight money, it's about draw power, and that's going to be dictated by appeal to casuals.
KSI V Logan Paul did 1.3 million. Jake Paul v Askren did 1.45 million.
Ryan Garcia v Tank Davis was 1.5 million, and I assure you that wasn't because of Tank, because he was holding around 250k average before.
Crawford v Spence was 700,000.
A lot of the top draws have diluted their draw power. Canelo hasn't broken 1 mil since GGG 2 in 2018.
Jake Paul is hovering around 700k average.
Fury v Whyte was only 40K. He's not the draw he thinks he is. Wouldn't be surprised if the fight v Ngannou loses money.
AJ is damaged goods, although I suspect him v Wilder or Fury would do big numbers.
And we have yet to see how big of a draw Ryan Garcia will remain.
Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford is the biggest fight that can be made in all of Combat Sports.
Canelo vs Crawford beats any other fight and out draws it in America.
I don’t usually agree with your comments but I think you hit this one square on the head
I believe that if this fight has enough push it, it could really blow up
They need to get a storyline out there and let it promote the fight
If they introduce the soft side of Bud , how he’s committed to his community etc etc considering his upbringing
American’s eat that chit up like crazy and they will blow it out with social media and whatnot
Canelo being who he is already in boxing can play the bad guy adding another dimension
Anyway , it comes down to the way it gets promoted
More push better results
