Donovan 'Razor' Ruddock.
He was a power puncher of the 90's, with a fearsome reputation.
I think he was technically skill for skill, a better fighter than Wilder 'But maybe Wilder in other area's closed the gap, or maybe not'.
Ruddock went the distance with Mike Tyson in their rematch, which was a awesome fight 'Mike Tyson fought a peak Ruddock twice'.
I think Ruddock's signature punch was called 'The Smash'.
Note: Rudock was naturally a heavier Heavyweight than Wilder 'Ruddock weighed most of time between 230-240 + pounds' without body building himself up etc.

well if wilder was for example a white guy, people like maybe hopkins would call him a robot who cant box with cement in his feet, not slagging off hopkins as he makes some good points and knows his boxing but i think thats what he might sayComment

Butterbean is a better fighter. Wilder keeps his feet far apart. Which is good for power but bad for movement. When he throws the jab, he's wild open for a counter because he can't move. Tyson Fury has outstanding foot work. that's why he made it look easy. Wilder fights like Jess Willard.Comment

Foreman, both had devastating power and rose through the amateur ranks to win an olympic medal in very short time.
Foreman was lineal twice though. Wilder was like 2 seconds away from Tyson not getting up first fight to be lineal.
Foreman was also a two handed fighter not just a right hand. But comparing wilder to a lot of other guys understates his power.Last edited by elfag; 09-15-2023, 10:48 AM.Comment
