I can totally understand why nobody wants to fight Bivol

    1. He is not a cash cow, you won`t get a huge money fighting him
    2. You will lose 100%.

Bivol is the victim of his own boxing supremacy. The guy is just too good. You have top 10 contenders in his own weight class claiming they are not even ready to fight him.

Hes definitely high risk relative to the name value he brings. Was always gonna be a serious stylistic problem for Canelo.

Unbeatable until he comes across Beterbiev

Bivol went with the wrong horse, he should've signed up with Arum.

Pretty much any top boxer I can think of tactics that will be effective.
Bivol is the only one where I can't think of anything... I would never fight him if I had the choice.
Outside of single punch ko-power, he's got everything
        - Amazing stamina
        - Can step on the gas at will
        - Can fight going backwards
        - Can fight very agressively
        - Amazing footwork
        - Top notch defense, both body and head
        - Beautiful control of range
        - No lapses in concentration
        - Disciplined, doesn't get emotional. Will stick to the gameplan
        - Very hard to read or anticipate when he will attack

Bloody nightmare and a technical joy to watch. I hope he retires undefeated

            I do understand.
For purely financial reasons, he could have said yes but if he isn't just motivated by money it was a good decision
First of all, this would send the signal that Canelo can do anything he wants just because he brings in a lot of money, like setting the terms even though he is facing the champ. Basically treating him like a sub-class challenger.

Publicly stating he wants 'same terms, same everything'
This is no way to behave when yóu are the challenger, who were also soundly beaten first time around.
"Bivol, who said he’s game for an Alvarez rematch provided he’s “treated like the champion” (he took short money, second billing and walked out first)
Bivol would have been paid handsomely but also (again) totally disrespected. You don't accept this treatment twice as a serious professional and proud champion.

From a boxing point of view Bivol has nothing to prove of or gain to defeat Canelo again.
Canelo didn't want to put anything on the line (his belts), so it was a safe fight for him. If Canelo was serious he would have agreed to 168 and if he beat Bivol, there would have been a third fight that would have done absolute massive numbers. That proves to me that Canelo really didn't want to fight Bivol again....

What i would have done if bivol, i would have said, yeah we can have the fight at 175 and i will put my belt on the line again but its not on the same terms, the only thing i would have demanded was more cash, thats the bottom line at the end of the day, all else is just window dressing, if canelo wouldnt budge on cash from fight 1 then its him who is actually ducking the fight, but bivol didnt do that, he didnt want it at 175 at all so never put canelo in a position to refuse more cash for bivol

At the end of the day, canelo, like it or not has stature in the sport, he deserves it too to a degree because of his achievements and great fanbase, he calls a lot of shots, the bivols take the paydays, hes a russian who could he even fill a small venue on his own? not even sure about that, he mightnt even have very many if any fans in the states but he has a bit of name value now so would be a good dance partner possibly, the bivols should take the paydays in this sport as thats how it works when they get them

He is motivated by money like every other boxer. Otherwise his manager would not have said Beterbiev didn't get made because of the money. They thought they could get more money from Canelo and that their would be back and forth negotiations. They didn't get that

It is high reward. he is 175 world champ.

Thing is, everybody thought Canelo was some p4p king of boxing. After Canelo being dominated fighting this guy...I understand nobody wants to fight him.

                    Nobody wants to lose.
