Edwin Valero Wants Barrios in December, Won't Happen

I've been told Edwin Valero (25-0, 25KOs) is very upset with the recent comments that were made by Jorge Barrios on BoxingScene.com. Valero wants to settle their feud once and for all, and put an offer on the table for Barrios to challenge him for the WBC lightweight title on December 12 in Venezuela. [details]

Barrios would certainly be a step up from most of Valero's competition.

But regardless this ain't happening.Valero I doubt will ever get licensed and a big fight like this could only happen in USA.

            Venezuela is not fair.

Oh come on dude its not like this fight would go the distance.
That is some serious talk from Barrios. I know he is a pro fighter and all, but for the sake of his health I think he should can the talk a bit, Valero is a dangerous guy.
That said, hopefully Valero gets his **** together enough to actually fight in America again.

I don't know that.Barrios was a few seconds away fro mgoing the distance with Freitas in a fight he was destined to get KO'd early.Altough he is past it now where as he was in his prime then.
Either way it's not fair in either Venezuela or Argentina, you can never know what bias events can happen with judges or refs, etc.
Barrios is just talking to hype the fight if and when it actually happens.

I presume you meant to say that the US authorities need to grant him a visa. It's out of Valero's hands. There was nothing wrong with his visa application, the US authorities just refused to grant him one, which is disgusting.

He also doesn't have a US license to fight anyway.
