Yes. Otherwise theses greedy sobs would be doing it in reverse.

As you know in boxing the main event carries the show, and the main eventers get the vast majority of the money.

The most successful mma organisation the UFC have cards that are absolutely stacked. There's no guarantee that one big mma fight alone would even sell good.

Honestly I don't think even in boxing this will be record breaking, not at all. Ufc heavyweight division has never been good, always shallow, ngannou could walk down new York and not be noticed.
But I guess there's a Saudi guarantee so they have already won.

Are we sure he didn’t say mdma, he seems more keen to drug and rant than fight these days against legitimate opponents

Fury said. “I would kick your ass in a cage, no problem. One hundred percent. Hundred percent. Firstly, I’ll beat you in a boxing ring, and then I’ll kick your ass in a cage. Hundred percent. I’ll beat you, outbox you, and then I’ll beat you in a cage – no problem. No problem. No problem. [First] outbox him and I’ll beat him in a cage fight, no two ways about it.”
I have been down on Fury in recent times but now I really respect him. Joshua and Usyk (and everyone else in the top-10) ran from him and refused to fight him. Because of this Fury is willing to go and beat great MMA fighters at their own sport! This guy is amazing!

People say he is not a great fighter because he has only defended his belts twice his whole career but now we realize that is because everyone is scared of him!

Admittedly all the MMA fights he has said would happen over the years never happened either but that was clearly because the MMA guys were also scared of him. This MMA fight will happen for sure!

You've got to TRAIN FOR THE COMBAT SPORTS you want to compete in.
Nobody comes over from one into another successfully without doing that!!!
Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou were training in Boxing first, but had to cross train in order to become the Champions of the UFC. And both converted pretty quickly from boxing, if you know their stories.

The best go for the best money in any profession. Fury had the self confidence to start where the big money is and stay there.
Stipe and Ngannou lacked that confidence, but they cross trained and became the best in the B money league.

If they can do it, Fury could do it far better, much faster.

Goodness! Really? Mercer vs. Kimbo was a work, not a fight.

The story behind the Cage Fury Fighting Championships show, and Ray's role in the Alex Martinez promotion is a very well known thing. Ray was brought in to voluntary lose, and make Kevin Ferguson (AKA Kimbo Slice) look great doing it. For this, he was paid almost every penny Alex had, so it was allright with Mercer.
I was involed with the NJSAC at the time, and we wouldn't sanction the event after this pre-fight discovery unless the Martinez's first ensured the paying public that this was an Exhibition Only, which of course, they did.
Hence, the fight does not appear on either fighter's official MMA record.

Fast forward to facing the recently deposed UFC champion in a real fight, Mercer didn't need 10 full seconds to knock the 2-time UFC king dead cold.
The difference this time was that Ray threw a punch.

Ngannou is well known striker and ain't great grappler.

Fury's chance in cage much more than Ngannou's chance in the ring.

He doesn't look like a fighter, but he gets it done. He would probably do Usyk in, who is a great fighter and one of the best cruiserweights. Both will retire soon.
Fury is chinny. In MMA he would have been finished by ground and pound after any of those knockdowns. No 8 counts in something resembling a real fight.

ah okay so when he lost and it didnt fit your agenda , it was because he lost on purpose (no evidence of this anywhere), of course...
