If Zhang were to fight Ngannou today, I would actually favor Ngannou to win that fight.

MMA is a superset of boxing so it should be easier for an MMA fighter to transition to boxing than the other way round. Perhaps they aren't as good in upper body movement and skilled in scoring points but then neither is Zhang. It is not like Ngannou is coming from a completely different sport where they do not punch or block punches. It is just that in addition to punching, they rely a lot more on kicks and grappling and so he would have to adjust his fighting instinct to punches alone.

2x Olympic silver medalist? he got a silver medal in 2008 (lost the final by KO and only reached the final because he got a WO in the semis) but when did he get the second silver medal? he lost in the 2nd round in 2012 against AJ.
