Comments Thread For: Erickson Lubin on Jesus Ramos: This Win Solidifies That I Belong at The Top

By Thomas Gerbasi - The rehabilitation of Erickson Lubin's boxing career is nearly complete. On September 30, in the co-main event of one of the biggest fight cards of 2023, Lubin will face unbeaten Jesus Ramos Jr. at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It's not for a title, it's not a fight that will receive a ton of hype over the next month, but as far as the career of Lubin goes,

I have never let myself off the hook for picking Lubin... emphatically... over Charlo. Was 100% sure he would win.

****** sports makes people look ******....

I still like Lubin. Not eveeryone is a world beating, all time great. But he is carving out for himself a good career where he still has a chance to get some serious wins. He sure needs this one though. Badly.

May just keep my mouth shut on predicting it though.

Lubin isn’t any different than when Oba Carr was fighting with loads of talent but just came up at the wrong time. Oba fought them all, Ike Quarty, Oscar Gay La Hoya, and Felix Trinidad not much can top fighting those guys over the last 30 years for a contender. Lubin is good, just not good enough!

I wouldn't count my chickens yet. Ramos is pretty damn good. Gonna be another war.

Mono by UD, there might be a few scares considering Lubin's power but I think he might win pretty convincingly if he managed to outperform another limited hard hitter like Mendoza at age 21.

Correction this loss will solidify that you don't belong at the top, your on the way down, while Ramos is on the way up.

Lubin is good enough to win a world title and even multiple world titles but I don't think he'll go down as a all time elite fighter but that's fine not everyone can be you can still have a very good career and win titles and earn money being a solid world level fighter. there's just a difference between that and the elite though.. this is a tough fight tho because Ramos is no joke he's young he's strong he's powerful it's kinda like when lubin stepped up an faced charlo he's in that role now minus being a world champion and he's either gonna deal with Ramos in good fashion and it was to early for him or the younger fighter is gonna show he's for real and get that win

I like Lubin, but just like Hitmanjosh said, he's like an Oba Carr or I was thinking an Andrew Council. My money says he gets pummled by Ramos.

Andrew family not going to use him as an example!
