That was a multi-fight deal with a voluntary defense and a rematch clause. I think Wilder turned down because Hearn controlled him for 3 or 4 fights but in retrospect he didn't make more with the Fury trilogy and the blowout of Helenius.

It could be, but he's willing to fight 3 times a year, which is a rarity these days. So props up for Joshua.

            Joshua vs Wilder isn't happening.

Eddie is gonna milk AJ until he inevitably loses to another fat guy and retires.

This one I blame squarely on Wilder and his team for trying to structure deals with parties they haven't dealt with before and possibly some ego of not wanting Hearn to control the negotiation (which part I kind understand to an extent due to his cunning ways).

However, it's pretty simple - they need a 2 fight deal (2nd fight being rematch clause) with Skills Challenge that is pretty much a proven business entity having hosted multiple fights already w/ Joshua, Usyk, Ruiz etc (so not only Matchroom fighters).

Wilder has thrown in this (that convinced me it's him / PBC killing the deal):

“I’m actually working on a two-fight deal with me and Joshua. One up in Saudi Arabia, and the other one up in Africa. In Africa, they willing to overbid Saudi right now,” Wilder said. “They was gonna bid $200 million—100 [dollars] apiece."

So in summary Wilder / PBC are going to work with a completely new unproven business partner for a deal of this magnitude which is insane and makes me think it's not going to happen in a location they have not one shred of experience in working with / understanding legal aspects, regulations, contractual issues, logistics etc.

I am convinced Wilder believes he will win (and maybe justifiably) but he is being greedy / letting his ego take over + bad advice from PBC (I know the PBC fan club will come for my head now ;-)) - I hate all promoters and sanctioning bodies equally - PBC / Haymon just seem to be the worst in killing fights these days (partly because they hold all the marquee fighters as I won't deny others do the same).

Eddy will not pay to get his guy beat. He feasted Canelo, but for Canelo money. We'll see AJ v Windmill in their twilight years like Khan vs Brook, when there's no other market.

If I got to wait for Joshua-Wilder,
                    then give me Joshua-Ruiz III.
I think that'll be a good poach by Hearn.
If not, I'll accept Parker II or Chisora.

This sounds the most likely scenario imo. Hearn isn't letting Wilder anywhere near Joshua. At least until it's retirement time.
