Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Warns Crawford To Avoid Making The Same Mistake of Moving Up To Fight Canelo

Former world champion Amir Khan has warned Terence Crawford to avoid making the same mistake that he once made. Back in 2016, Khan jumped up in weight to face Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez at a catchweight of 155-pounds. At the time, Khan was competing as a welterweight and Canelo was heading up to middleweight.

He forgot to mention his glass chin as one of the factors. Not only was his skillset inferior to TC's, he had a glass chin at 135, he was bound to get KTFO at 155 with a Canelo that was already a natural 168lbs by that point

Crawford vs canelo would be very different than khan vs. Canelo, and khan should know that, having been put to sleep by one, and bludgeoned by the other. Bud knows exactly what he's doing in the ring, not flailing or rushing in punching wildly, crossing his feet, with his hands low and his chin up in the air. Canelo struggled to catch Khan for the 1st four rounds. Khan started to slow down and posed for pictures for too long, and so he got exactly what his hand called for--- a Mexican Clenbuterol lightning bolt to the jaw. This would never happen to Bud, the master boxer puncher. He would handle Canelo same as he did Khan and Errol. Canelo would get to see the skills up close and personal, and the world would be shocked once again, because they refuse to believe Bud is like that, no matter what he does.

Terence would see the final bell VS Alvarez

Terence VS Alv would be more like Floyd Alv than Amir Alv

unless T is chinny he has too many tools to be ko’d by Alvarez

If khan can’t do it no chance crawford can.

Now people rate Crawford as invincible because he beat Spence. Don't get carried away--any fighter can lose.

One big difference between Amir and Bud is that Crawford is a generational talent. Khan was not. Another difference is Canelo was fresher and at the top of his game when he fought Khan, but now he is clearly not as sharp as he was then. Having said that, Canelo would have to be the favorite going into the fight. If Bud were to beat Canelo I don't think that could be considered an upset. Having said that Canelo still has to get past Jermell Charlo and that is not a given. We should expect a good fight in both cases.

Errol fight will probably be T’s career best performance

                  he’ll have more great performances

but I don’t think any will trump the Errol performance
