he just throws more combinations than this version of tua.

tua is 5 foot 10. hard to throw combinations at moving opponents that are 4 , 5 , 6 inches taller than you.

when tua has his man cornered or up against the ropes you see how good his combinations are.

arreola doesn't even throw proper punches. he loops everything.
For example see the great use of a triple left hook in finishing off Shane Cameron. Arreola just throws punches and it's not like he threw any combinations against a higher class opponent in Vitali.

Tua would still look like the prime destroyer of old if he fought an ancient Jameel McCline and Chazz Witherspoon.

      yup.

tua was one of the best at doubling up and tripling up on the left hook at heavy.

tua ain't exactly tyson in the speed and boxing dept.

even tyson would be bothered by the klitschko's height and reach.

            Who knows.
If Tua can prevent holding on the inside early, he has a chance, but if the ref breaks them and Wlad gets the jab going, it will be a long night and a 119-109 fight.

Tua has to time him and jump him, and early.

ask all the top 10 fighters and champions tua has beat if he has skills.

ask the guys he beat in the olympics and world championships where he medalled if he doesn't have skills.

take your ass to one of those ****** pac-cotto threads. your dumbass has no business talking about **** you don't know anything about.
Tua is your boyfriend or what, you defend him as if you had sex with him. Chris Byrd, Lennox Lewis all made him look ******. Watch Tua's career and you'll see that he's a poor man's Mike Tyson. A great boxer doesn't get outclassed by fat out of shape Hasim Rahman.

Knocking people out doesn't make you a skilled fighter: Maidana, Mayorga are not master boxers. I didn't say Tua didn't have skills, he looks skilled only when he fight bums.
Antonio Tarver had a good amateur career and that doesn't make him a fantastic boxer. He's good, better than Tua but that's it.

Tua is a great puncher with decent skills. He, like Arreola, look like a good boxer when he fights C level opposition.

No one is saying that Tua has "great" skills. People are saying he is more skilled than Arreola, which he is. The fact that he would be even money with Arreola, or the favorite, in his mid/late 30's pretty much proves it.

Again Tua has very few similarities with Mike Tyson except that they're both short for heavyweights. Tyson's style and attributes were suited to get the better of taller boxers with good jabs but he might have had trouble with someone like David Tua, a strong inside fighter who bobs & weaves and is very durable.

the fact that you compare tua to tyson shows how little you know.

                  tua fought NOTHING like tyson.

tyson was an aggressive boxer-puncher. tua is a slugger.

like i said......don't talk if you don't know anything about the subject.

                  now off with you.

Arreola didn't even look good against C level opposition. Him and McCline were so fat and slow that I thought there was something wrong with my TV. In the fight before that he got knocked down by a basketball player. Tua would've destroyed both of those guys very early and wouldn't have been knocked down either.

People only seem to rate defensive skills these days. If you outbox someone for 12 rounds and use your jab and head movement well, that's a skill, sure. But it's also a skill to be able to slip a jab, get on the inside, and time your own shots to score a KO.

He means that Tua is a skilled boxer. Arreola throws and lands more combinations. I just don't think Tua is that skilled, i don't know why he gets mad like that. That's nut hugging when you can't accept a different opinion like that. I heard people like him saying Cotto robbed Mosley which is one of worst cases of revisionism in BS.

Tua is a short powerful aggressive heavyweight like Mike Tyson. Skillwise, they have very few similarities i agree.
