But they fail terribly. Floyd was the greatest fighter of all time and no one will ever be able to replicate that defense

Same as Ali once upon a time.

Same as Roy Jones in the 90’s.

Fighters replicate the greats of their era but there is usually a reason that only that individual can fight that way with such success.
