Taking a knee is legal, unlike punching in the nuts. Also smarter and more admirable.

As far as Eubank is concerned, the main reason he wanted to carry on against Liam Smith is that he was on ***** street and didn't even realise the fight was over. His legs were so rubbery that he would have been massacred had the ref let the fight continue.

Do fighters regularly come back from taking a knee? I get that it may give enough time to clear your head or immediately get a fighter out of a defenseless position in the real short term but ultimately it's submission.

Taking a knee can be smart. Like if you are against a big puncher and you can't defend yourself. Take a knee to avoid getting stopped and get your senses back.

Also to be fair Eubank has a very good chin and good recovery. You got to factor in some guys have a glass chin and get stunned for a long time. I think we all know when someone takes a knee because they have no fight in them. We can tell the difference.

I reckon that real boxing fans want to see a fighter gets properly knocked out than quitting on his knees like RG and DDD.
