  • Comments Thread For: Eubank: It's a Shame These Days You Have So Many Fighters Willing to Take a Knee

One thing Chris Eubank Jr. knows for certain is that nobody can accuse him of being a quitter. That is one way the ****y British middleweight has been able to rationalize his disastrous fourth-round knockout loss to Liam Smith earlier this year at AO Arena in Manchester, England.

We know Liam can hurt chris, but don't know if he can keep him hurt. We were denied chance to either see Chris recuperating abilities or get hurt bad

its from watching too much game of thrones

seriously tho, vankbank shouldnt put himself in other positions and judge

if i was liam smith now, i would be thinking of a slow beatdown to test vankbanks theory & laugh at him as he looks back with no way out but to quit possibly, that would be karma delivered to an arrogant person possibly, put him to the test or the sword and see how he likes it

If only you had taken a knee maybe you would of had a chance to clear your head and carry on. Got to use the rules to your advantage at 33 you should know this

Taking a knee is legal, unlike punching in the nuts. Also smarter and more admirable.

Taking a knee can be a smart move in certain circumstances. Dubois has embraced it a bit too much, let's say.

As far as Eubank is concerned, the main reason he wanted to carry on against Liam Smith is that he was on ***** street and didn't even realise the fight was over. His legs were so rubbery that he would have been massacred had the ref let the fight continue.

I'd never say quit myself because I'm not getting punched by world class boxer ffs. But..

Do fighters regularly come back from taking a knee? I get that it may give enough time to clear your head or immediately get a fighter out of a defenseless position in the real short term but ultimately it's submission.

Hard to turn that on its head.

Taking a knee can be smart. Like if you are against a big puncher and you can't defend yourself. Take a knee to avoid getting stopped and get your senses back.

Also to be fair Eubank has a very good chin and good recovery. You got to factor in some guys have a glass chin and get stunned for a long time. I think we all know when someone takes a knee because they have no fight in them. We can tell the difference.

I reckon that real boxing fans want to see a fighter gets properly knocked out than quitting on his knees like RG and DDD.
