If Spence really wants the rematch at 154 and thinks he can win, he deserves a chance. But most people think it's a bad idea--Crawford will likely do the same thing again and retire Spence.

There are questions. A rematch with a 100% Spence will answer them.

He looked fine to me. The saying is old fighters can get old over-night. Never heard of drained overnight, you're making that up. He said himself he was in great shape and he was looking for excuses after the fight with the my timing is off malarky.

Trainer Vergil Hunter says he heard from one of his sources that Errol Spence Jr ran Mount Charleston five miles the week before his with Terence Crawford. Hunter believes that the combination of Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) running uphill on Mount Charleston, Nevada, and training in the high heat of Dallas & Las Vegas potentially took something out of him.

100% bullshit he wasn't in great shape. Stop it! All these "seasonal" guys now save weight loss for the last leg of camp, a run the week before, if true, is nothing. I know all about draning, had to do it myself. Of course, on an amateur level is miles different that a pro level and vs the best in the sport =---> totally different. But a single run the week of isn't crippling. A lot of these guys are draining in suits and sauna up until the day or weigh-ins.

I remember Ryan Garcia saying the same thing and nobody bought that either. I’ve seen all of Errol Spence’s fights and his athleticism was one of his greatest strengths. He was slow and I saw no explosion. And he was getting hurt by Crawford’s jab. He had no legs in the 2nd round. I know a drained fighter when I see one. And I’m glad Spence didn’t make any excuses because we don’t want to hear that sht after a fight. But it doesn’t mean I’m not blind either.

Noboys is talking about Ryan Garcia...stay on topic.

I've been watching Spence since the amateurs and Spence never was explosive. He was always mechanical and plodding...just always coming forward and relentless. He fought the same against Crawford as everyone else. Just Crawford wasn't a B level and under guppy. You're just looking for a reason to take away from Crawford exposing him as a weight bully.

His legs were fine, he just got his arse kicked.

He did make excuses, saying his timing was off. Spence got you duped. Hell, I was duped for a few years, time to have a hot cup of coffee and wake up. Dude has a bad chin which is why he never fought at his natural class of jmw. Any great fighter moves up, he moved down and stayed down =---> FOR A REASON. If he fought at jmw like he should have, he would be like 25-7.

I’m not looking to take away from Crawford but I have eyes. Spence was 33 going on 43. Not Crawford’s fault Spence lives a hard life. But like I said in my original post when you’re a p4p fighter we look at all your wins closely. Crawford’s no different.

Spence will fight the same way at 154. He will get the same outcome.

Spence lives a hard life lol? You're acting like he's Ricky Fatton is something. Spence had a career of easy touches, wth lol!

P4P lost it's meaning years ago. The metric is malleable by whatever outlet spits one out now. Let's stick to what it really means, we're smart enough to know who's really P4P.

The phrase pound for pound was created by sportswriters for Sugar Ray Robinson during his career as a way to compare boxers irrespective of weight. The common reference was if Ray was a HW.

Spence can't even fight at his natural weight, never mind in bigger classes. Spence would get decimated at 160 which he should have been 5+ years ago. Spence was never a legitimate P4P fighter. You got to move up in classes to show you can take the heat, he hasn't done that.

Guys like Floyd, Manny, RJJ, Robinson, and yes Crawford (he moved up to classes from his debut) can be considered P4P. You can't just hang at one weight your entire life and reasonably be considered P4P. Spence dropped in weight when he turned pro. Spence is a weight bully that got found out, end of story.

weight is usually the go-to excuse when someone loses followed by injuries in camp or problems with the trainer, tbf to spence its more people making excuses for him then him saying it himself... pretty rare fighters who blame weight actually look better when they move up, usually the opposite

all these guys suddenly, coincidentally develop problems with making weight the same night they fight their best opponent of career and lose
