Bomac got it correct. Bud was just better that night. And I picked Spence to win.

Bomac also said if Errol was drained its Derricks fault, I think he is right there as well because training in crazy hot temps is not a smart idea its old school sweatbox mentality, TC made changes in his camp as well and went into high altitude with mild temps and thin air, that's a much more scientific way of training, science also says that to get the benefits of where Errol is to live in heat but work in the cool you can get more quality work in like this, the old school way was to train in hot gyms like demons kill that body, I feel James needs to look at advanced training its not all about grind, be interesting now whether they see all the things they can look at when reverse engineering such a dismal performance, he got some more really big fights coming up so I hope they look at it all or he might be getting similar results.

You cant blame the coach for everything. first it was a unifcation fight so it had to be at 147 and spence made weight everytime including this time.

Spence was inactive and gets into the upper 180s from his own admission. the coach cant control what he does in off season, only what happens when he comes to him. spence is also older than all the previous fights so with age its harder to make weight. theres a lot at stake there and coaches all the time are coaching fights that werent their first pick or have fighters at weights they wish they werent at.

They didn't have a great fight plan and some of that is on Derrick James. Not much of the rest is. The fight was at 147 and that was what everyone wanted to see -- the undisputed fight -- and that what was Spence signed up for, so not James' fault. James didn't makes Spence crash the damn car either.

And ultimately, Spence's biggest problem is that Crawford was too good for him.

Whether Spence was feeling off that night, I don't know. Obviously he looked liked shlt but a lot of that might have just been down to Crawford.

As a Spence supporter I am convinced Crawford would have still beaten the prime or pre-accident Spence. There is nothing to watch at 154 between them. It would again be a one sided beating. Crawford is a SUPREME counter puncher.

Especially when Spence works behind the jab and Crawford was even countering that!

The glaring thing was that Spence could not adapt to save his life. He got hit by the same short right hook disguised as a jab, all freaking night. Sometimes he even runs into it.
