Doesn't seem like Roy is going to be a good trainer. He can't teach the type of athleticism he had in his prime that made any flaws he may have had disappear.

Funny Roy would say this because Chris was desperately trying to defend his head against Liam

I remember reading somewhere that Eubank Sr was questioning Jones jr being in his son's camp. This impacts Eubank leaving Jones Jr and going to Bomac. Eubank seems like he knows it all. Any boxer with that kind of mentality is only going so far in boxing. I believe Bomac is Eubank Jr's fourth trainer. The problem is Eubank Jr. not Roy Jones Jr.

Roy was giving him good advice in the corner, but it was clear that Eubank Jr wasn't listening. Dude is a know it all, just like his dad.

Eubank had success when he was moving but letting his hands go. He was getting clipped when he was dancing around the ring waiting, tossing out half-hearted jabs and not keeping his hands up. You don't get away with that against a guy like Smith.

I think Roy was exceptional as a fighter and I have never trained under him to say he's this or that, but from the fighters I know that he worked with and they got their asSes kicked left and right and I'm just keeping it real. Don't *** with Roy!

It's cool to have an opinion and all, but there's no need to write it all big and bold n sheet

Blocking body shots with your arms and using head movement to defend your head is unorthodox but I could see it being a workable strategy.

Of course the traditional boxing wisdom does say to always keep your guard up.

Roy Jones' style worked for himself when he was in his prime. However, it seems as though Jones trains his fighters to fight like him. First Pascal mimicked Jones and then Eubanks followed suit. This style does not seem to be beneficial for Roy Jones Jr trainees.
