I've never read, anywhere, that Crawford struggles to make the 147 weight. Never. The only reason for Bud to really move up is to conquer other titles. That's it. Bud will be 36 this month. I don't think his body is growing anymore.

If Spence is smart he will stop blowing up to 185 pounds between fights so he doesn't have to drain himself to make weight. Stay near fighting weight all year round if he wants to be at his best. Crawford loses just about as much weight but it hasn't hurt him as bad. Not sure what Spence can do any different at 154 though. He will be stronger but still bringing the same boxing skills against a fighter who clearly out-boxed him.
