What you are accusing Mosley of doing, Mayweather has done times ten.
Cheating at the weigh-in? The fight was contracted at 147 with a penalty for weighing more than 144. I'm not giving credit to Mayweather for beating Marquez, but I expected him to take a tune-up fight before getting back in with a big name. It just so happened that Marquez called him out by name which gave him the opportunity to use him as a stepping stone back into the limelight. The PPV numbers speak for themselves...people want to see Mayweather fight, even if it is against a "blown up lightweight" and after a 2 year lay-off, but you can't really say the same about Mosely. Hardcore boxing fans want to see him fight, but the casual fans could care less. Also, what better way to discredit Pacquiao's claim to the p4p title than to destroy the guy that gave him all he could handle for 24 rounds?

You've got a point about Floyd's drawing power I suppose. But I think Floyd is going to follow in Mosley's foot steps in trying to chase Pacquiao and Manny won't fight him because Mayweather will demand over a 50-50 split. But at least Mosley is willing to go all the way down to 140 to fight Pacquiao. Can we say the same thing about Floyd? I don't think so. I wouldn't be suprised if Mosley gets a Pacquiao fight instead of Mayweather, because Arum can't stand Floyd.

There is no way Mosley could get down to 140 healthily. His just got to accept the fact that if he gets a shot at mayweather or pac it will be after they fight. Assuming pac gets past Cotto which I dont think he will imo.

Pacquiao won't give Floyd a chance. Mark my words. It's more out of pride than fear. Arum is afraid of Pacquiao getting beat by Mayweather of course. But Roach has said that Pacquiao don't need Floyd, and that is the concrete truth. Mayweather will need Mosley if the Pacquiao fight doesn't happen.

waste of a fight if it happens. i don't want to see a way past his prime mosley in his late 30s (38) facing a mayweather who's fighting the way he is at this point in his career. so then what? mayweather can brag and say "wait theres always an excuse, thats the fight everyone wanted and now people are saying he was too old or past his prime. i got nothing else to prove". LOL. nah, i hope it doesn't happen, because right now he has no shot against floyd.

i want to see floyd fight fighters who're in the same stage in their careers fighting near or in their primes, because i'd be a waste of talent if he didn't do so. he's a talented fighter, one of a kind but he needs to take the big fights.

Arum doesn't like Mayweather, but money talks. I don't think that Roach wants the Mayweather fight despite some of the rediculous things he said about Mayweather while he was retired. Mayweather doesn't need Mosley at all to make money. Sure, pure boxing fans will berate him for not fighting Mosley, but he has all the leverage at the moment. Mosley should have taken another fight as soon as he saw that the Pacquiao fight wasn't going to happen. Now, its going to be a whole year between fights, and at his age, that isn't a good thing. I like Mosley, but he had a great chance to fight Mayweather after he beat Vargas the second time in 2006. Both were in their prime then, but Mosley avoided the fight.

And let's remember beating Margarito holds more weight than beating up a blown up 36 year-old Featherweight in JMM. I like JMM better because he has better intentions, but you get what I'm saying.
Hey what's up, Iceta ... its been awhile

                    To a degree YES!!!!

The only difference is, at present Floyd doesn't hold any Championship Belts. Therefore, he can damn well do whatever he wants to do. Mosley on the other hand is the current WBA Champ and whether he likes it or not, has obligations to fullfill as the champ.

And contrary to what you stated, HBO, The Ring Mag and others seem to have placed a large amount of weight on what Floyd accomplished in his return fight ... while Mosley doesn't seem to have gained much in the way of bargaining power.

To be fair, I agree that Mosley avoided the fight in 2006. The sad thing is, it seems like Mosley was a yes man for Golden Boy Promotions back then, and Oscar De La Hoya had all the pull and he probably told Shane to step aside. But now that Mayweather has went through all the easy fights, it's time for him to fight Shane. Mosley wants the fight now, so what's the problem? I can give Mayweather a pass for about five months to give time for the Berto-Mosley fight to happen. Because we need to see where Shane is at after that layoff. But if Mosley beats Berto impressively, there is no excuse for Mayweather not to fight Shane. The bad thing is, it probably won't be a unification fight when Shane beats Berto.
