People have short memory. A year ago Benavidez Sr. got sick and tired of Morrell mentioning his son's name and called his bluff. All of a sudden, Morrell's trainer Ronnie Shields came out and said Morrell should not be rushed. Team Morrel then took 3 more fights disregarding Team Benavidez's preparedness for the fight. Yes, 3 more fights, not one, two, but three. And you're telling me Morrell has the only right to dictate the time of the fight whenever he wants it? You gotta be an idiot to be dictated by some nobody.

That was not a bluff, but was the first fight with Shields, fast forward two fights, not three, and Shields gave the okay to call out benavidez. And this time, silence.

Probably wants it to a bigger fight when they do fight. At the level of the game we talk about its as much a business as a sport if not more business than sport. This isn't some backyard argument sheeeeeet. The only thing you get for fighting a legit guy early is the respect of some small segment of hardcore fans. Boxers wanna get PAID when they are fighting their risker opps. I'd be lying if I said I'm a huge fan of the business of boxing but is a part of the sport that fans should realize is happening a whole lot more often then the ducking stuff fans to love to throw around loosey goosey.
