You are 100% wrong. Perception is, wrongly, now used as a synonym for opinion. It correctly means an insight/understanding. E,g 'Charle Parker's perception that when solo-ing on a tune you do not have to use only the notes in the key the tune was written in' .It would be totally the wrong word to use.

A conception is of that which can be conceived. The closest synonym is, probably, vision. I could'a used that instead. CEJ has a vision of himself as a master boxer, but, sadly, it is greatly at odds with his actual abilities. I think I prefer conception, it better encapsulates the nobility of CEJ's dream, & the vast disparity between that & his actual abilities as a journeyman with a great engine & not much else.

American football is the major sport in TX and California. The Charlo brothers, Errol Spence and Vergil Ortiz are the best from Texas. We had Andre Ward at 168 and 175. You remember him, right? He's the guy who slapped around Carl Froch and Kovalev.

We punch above our weight (nothing like Puerto Rico) so I wouldn't say the UK boxing scene is sad at all. A sad scene would be Italy or Germany - countries with similar populations

Good points, but your lower weight guys have been getting drubbed lately, especially by Luis Alberto Lopez aka El Venado. He's been doing a number on your guys at 126. AJ is fading badly. Fury seldom fights. Who else do y'all really have? Once Froch retired, you guys lost a lot of "sizzle". Beefy Smith is a journeyman. Who else is there!

We tend to get a lot of good guys who are contenders, maybe short term champions or fight for belts - but not considered elite like Fury or Spence or Charlos. So - in no particular order, but over the last 10 years or so off top of my head - Frampton, Quigg, Warrington, Woods, Groves, Buatsi, Callum Smith, BJS, Yarde, Okolie, Billam Smith, DeGale, Josh Taylor, Liam Smith, Quigg, Joe Joyce, Dubois, Sunny Edwards, Joe Cordina, John Ryder, lee Selby, Riakporhe

point is, with all those fighters there's a lot of fights and so fans always have someone to follow

Well, maybe ref stopped fight too soon you could argue, but that's the only thing. Maybe iron chinned eubanks could be given benefit of doubt? Maybe eubanks would've survived shaky moment and comeback?

I was Carl Frampton's biggest fan at one time. Loved the guy and was itching for him to unify and smash Quigg. I couldn't stand Quigg at all and was so happy when Frampton wiped him. But then Carl ducked Rigo, left 122 and became a 'businessman". Frampton, Froch, Yarde and Ryder I thought highly of, especially Froch. How good is Cordina? I never saw him fight. He could unify with Foster at 130.

Josh Taylor was always overrated. I thought he clearly lost to Prograis, and I said this back then. And Prograis is overrated. I've said that for awhile too. The UK's best fighter and biggest star is clearly Fury. It's not really close.

Oh, and Catterall. I think he's the best fighter at 140. I see no one there beating him, including Haney. Catterall trains at Floyd's gym sometimes. Once I read that, I knew he'd be a nightmare for Taylor.

And eubanks is certainly a proud man, when ref waved fight over, eubanks was squaring up to Liam as if he wanted some more. Opposite to what we saw with ddd other night in fact.

Catterall would make anyone at 140 look ******. He's a Top 10 talent easily. Brook had a good career, but I never considered him elite. He got busted up and had to hang on for date life against Carson Jones. Carson Jones was a glorified journeyman.

I think Haney will easily outbox Prograis. Regis hits hard for 140, but his actual skills and work rate are not great.
