Gamboa is very skilled but can be careless... His carelessness has gotten him knocked down against much lesser opponents, and Juanma is no journeyman. If Gamboa does not become more carefull in the ring, Juanma will not only beat him, he will knock him out.

Gamboa knows how good he is and he also knows how good Juanma is and hes giving him lots of credit, so he knows what in front of him and im shure he knows what he has to do against this guy. Gamboa is the biggest talent for years in boxing, the guy is just amazing. He moved up verry fast and made solid opponents look like bums when he fought them. He was down a few times but that had more to do with balance, i saw him never really hurt.
And Oquendo is the best opponent for Solis so far, im also interested in that fight and hope Solis lost some weight.

regardless, amateur experience doesnt even come close to the pros. he still needs about 5 more fights if he want 2 hang with the likes of juanma. right now, juanma would slaughter him

I prefer to see Juanma vs Caballero first and then Gamboa

I think JuanMa kills Gamboa. Gamboa is talented, but he never impresses me with his performances. JuanMa against Penalosa was just ****in amazing. Lopez is special, Gamboa has special talent. That's the difference.

out off your asss. Juanma has 26 wins and 24 by way of Knock out. Juanma got the championship belt via 1st round KO. Gamboa only has 15 wins and hasn't fought any true champions. Shows how much you know about boxing. Just got schooled Son!!!! :

Gamboa is old news, hes gonna be stopped by Juanma. Hes been knocked down by so meny bums, his chin is suspect. I smell a 3rd round KO. And Gamboa on qeer street. I got Solis over Fres Oquendo, Although Im rooting for Fres. Gamboa aint **** anymore, everyones hyped by the other CUban now, saying he could be one of the greatest counter punchers in history, pfff, we'll see bout that !!! Mega fight for JUanma !!

I'm not sold that gamboa stronger or faster than juanma in a way that would give him a real advantage. Juanma has a sledge hammer in his straight left for that division and sets it up with a strong jab. Gamboa just imposes his talent on guys. The way Gamboa fights I can't see him beating a big talent unless he knocks him out early otherwise he'll just get picked off through the rounds. I like both of these cats though I see Juanma being around longer though he just has the tools.
